2024-2025 Salem Sue Photo Contest

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the World's Largest Holstein Cow in New Salem, North Dakota. Salem Sue continues to be a dominant figure in North Dakota's landscape since its inception in 1974 as a New Salem Lions project, commemorating the local dairy industry. 

As part of the 50th celebration, the New Salem Lions Club and the New Salem Civic Club are conducting a 12-month photo contest from June 1, 2024, to June 1, 2025. The event is open to all. Photos can date back no more than 5 years to the present. Photos cannot be enhanced, and editing must be limited to cropping. There will be a limit of 3 photos per entry. Photos must be high-resolution JPEG format.

Please include your name, address, phone number, and date of photo.

Photos may be signed by the photographer.

Prize money will be awarded for:

· First Place: $2,000

· Second Place: $1,500

· Third Place: $1,000 

Any or all submitted photos may be used by the New Salem Lions Club for future calendars or promotions.
