Central Dakota Children’s Choir Presents
Central Dakota Children’s Choir will present “Cantus Unabridged” on Sunday, May 4, at 7:00 p.m., at McCabe United Methodist Church, 1030 N. 6th St., Bismarck. This concert will feature Cantus, the mixed high school choir of Central Dakota Children’s Choir. Admission at the door is $15 for adults and $12 for seniors & students. Children 5 and under are free. Tickets purchased in advance will receive a discount of $2 per ticket. In addition to performing selections from this season’s repertoire, Cantus singers will present a selection of solos and ensembles which were performed at vocal music contests.
Cantus Unabridged is sponsored by Feil Orthodontics and Rainbow Energy Center. Cantus is comprised of 37 singers from 8 area public, private, and home schools and is under the direction of Dr. Dean Jilek and accompanied by David Larson.
Formed in 1998, CDCC has grown from one choir of 65 students to five choirs and 2 elementary music classes with 300 children in grades 1 - 12 from 44 public, private, and home schools from the central and western North Dakota regions. The choirs have been invited to perform at many local, state, and regional events.
