Fishing Buddies - Cheryl & Lucky

Fishing Buddies - Cheryl & Lucky
Thursday morning my husband, myself and our kids (two dogs) headed north from Bismarck to Graham's Island State Park at Devils Lake. Having heard that the water was way up, we couldn't wait to see for ourselves. Seems that everyone else couldn't wait either, as the campground filled up day by day. (We had reserved our favorite site back in March.) By Saturday evening, very few campsites were vacant.

Everything is really green and beautiful up there, the staff have the Park in great shape. The ramp now has four lanes for boat traffic, which was really terrific! Fishing was pretty good, as most boats were coming in with some fish. Lots of white bass, northern and walleye! Tons of people were fishing from shore along every roadway. Six Mile Bay seemed pretty popular this weekend.

Since we had been out on the water all day Saturday, we decided to clean up and head to "The Cove" at Woodlands Resort (let them do the cooking). Great food and atmosphere!

We came home from a great weekend of fresh air, good fishing and lots of relaxing. Can't ask for anything better!
