Pow Wow
ABA Top 100 Events

American Bus Association names Norsk Høstfest and the United Tribes International Powwow as two of North America's 100 best events for 2011

The American Bus Association (ABA) announced that the 42nd Annual United Tribes International Powwow, September 8-11, 2011, and the Norsk Høstfest, September 28-October 1, 2011, which indicates that the United Tribes International Powwow and Norsk Høstfest offers excellent entertainment value to both tour groups and individual travelers from around the world, according to ABA.

ABA's 2011 Top 100 Events Selection Committee selected the United Tribes International Powwow and Norsk Høstfest from among a record number of more than 650 event nominations submitted by ABA members. Judges considered the event's broad appeal, its accessibility to motorcoaches and skill at handling large groups, and a variety of other relevant criteria.

The ABA has named both the Powwow and Hostfest to the top 100 in previous years. Additionally, the Dickens Village Festival in Garrison, Mandan Rodeo Days, the Reunion at the Home of Sakakawea in New Town and Medora Musical, Medora also have been selected.

Motorcoach and horses
"Affordable" and "value" are two words tour operators want to hear when planning tours. North Dakota has been selected by the American Automobile Association for a third year as the "most affordable vacation destination."

A new adventure in North Dakota begins as soon as you step out of the motorcoach, RV or bus or slide off a motorcycle. Participate in one of the many group activities, attractions or special events where culture and heritage comes alive. This legendary memory will last a lifetime.
